A new world sail speed record has been set.

Subject to WSSRC ratification, Sebastien Cattelan (FRANCE) has finally broken the magical 50 knots barrier, the holy gral of speed sailing. Youth killed in kite-surfing accident

A 23-year old youth was killed Tuesday afternoon while kite-surfing in Sdot Yam, a kibbutz located near Caesarea. He was seriously injured when the wind dragged him into the roof of a nearby house.

A French kitesurfer was put on life support after his craft drifted him into electric wires in Bunbury on Saturday afternoon.

Bunbury police sergeant Laurie Stubbs said the man had just taken off from a beach in South Bunbury at 1.50pm when a gust of wind sucked him across Ocean Drive and into live electric wires.
